After the last bottle is put away, the little fingerprints are wiped off the counter, and the markers on the growth chart get higher, all you’ll have to look back on those moments are the photos. I believe that family photos should be playful, fun, and 100% authentic to you and your family. WHAT I DO
1. Make your life easier.
Listen - I know how hard it is to get the family ready. From choosing outfits, to packing snacks, to coordinating the schedule and logistics. It ends up taking hours just to leave the house! My goal is to lift as much of the mental load from you as possible. Before our shoot, I’ll help prepare you for what to expect and how to get ready. I’ll send you an outfit guide to help you curate the perfect coordinated outfits that fit your personal style and make you feel good! Can’t even think about outfits? Don’t worry about it. I’ll take the task completely off your plate and send you exact links to which outfits to buy.
Leading up to the shoot, I’ll also send you a questionnaire so I can learn all about your family and make sure I’m capturing you in the most authentic way.
2. During the shoot, make it as easy as possible.
Stress-free is the name of the game. I will go with the flow and the energy of your family. With kids, oftentimes the path of least resistance is the most successful path! This means that if your kids are in a great mood and playing, I’ll play along with them! Singing, dancing, being silly - whatever it takes to get them comfortable and having fun. I encourage lots of play time and interaction as a family so I can capture those candid moments. And if your kids need a break, we will take all the time they need to recalibrate. Allowing the energy and mood of your kids to guide the way will allow us to get the most beautiful, authentic, and honest photos of your family!
3. Deliver your stunning photos that remind you exactly how you felt.
I can’t wait for you to see your photos! I’ll send over a sneak peek gallery within a week of your shoot. In 2-3 weeks you’ll get the full online gallery with hi-res digitals for downloading and sharing. Professional prints and albums can be purchased directly through me as well.

ABOUT TIDA SVY
Hi, I’m Tida! (And in the photo on the right is my husband, Collin and our son, Cove!) I have been photographing families since 2009 (15 years OMG) and while I have always loved capturing my clients’ growing families year after year, since becoming a mom myself, I have a new found deep appreciation and passion for family photos. It’s true what they say that “the days are long but the years are short.” With each hectic day blending into the next, taking the time to get photos captured of my family is incredibly important to me. Looking through photos during each stage of our lives not only reminds me of the beauty of each phase, but it makes ME feel beautiful and strong as well - even if I didn’t feel that way in the moment! Being able to pass this gift on to other families by capturing them during specific times of their lives is a responsibility I do not take lightly. I want you to remember how your kids look at you, how they play, how they laugh, and how you love.

Tida has been our family photographer since 2014. She took our wedding photos, my mom’s wedding photos, and all of our holiday pics. I’m blown away every time I get the pictures back. I look forward to photo time every year! Her pictures are amazing just like she is. She has a great eye and talent for making you look like your best self. I currently do one mini session day a year (during the holiday season!) Other than that, my minimum family sessions are 1 hour. This is because this is really the minimum amount of time needed in order to capture basic family portraits and storytelling candid moments. Don't worry about younger kids and holding their attention! I focus on photographing candid moments, so your family will be focusing on interacting with each other and their surroundings.

Yes, as long as they are participating in photos! Additional people that aren’t in front of the camera can sometimes be a distraction, so I ask that anyone present be dressed and ready to hop in front of the lens :)

I offer 1 reschedule free of charge. If we’re shooting in the Pacific Northwest where the weather can be unpredictable, I typically recommend either sticking to shooting in the summer time or choosing an indoor / outdoor location.
