Tropical Inspired San Diego Marriage Hut Elopement

Venue: San Diego Marriage Hut | Photography: Tida Svy | Florist: Sugar Rose Flowers

While Katherine and Marlon had originally planned for a big wedding this year with all their friends and family, plans adjusted when COVID-19 hit the US. I first met the happy couple earlier this year when I photographed their Balboa Park engagement session and bonded over our shared love for ramen. Luckily, these two lovebirds were quick on their feet and decided love is most important- so a San Diego Marriage Hut elopement became the new plan! As a San Diego elopement photographer, I fell in love with all the Hawaiian and tropical elements they pulled to put together this dreamy tropical elopement. And let me be the first to tell you- an elopement doesn’t mean it has to be any less beautiful than a full wedding. I mean, just look at how stunning they looked!

If you’re interested in having your own San Diego Marriage hut elopement, it’s super simple to set up! You can head over to the website here to set up an appointment with the clerk. You just need to pay the $88 fee and bring your ID’s, a festive mask, and a witness (or they can provide one for you for a small fee!). Easy peasy! In the meantime, try not to go through too many tissues while scrolling through Katherine and Marlon’s gallery here.

The day started off with a first look! Marlon’s reaction seriously says it all 😭
Immediately followed by private vows in a nearby palm tree grove, the tears were already flowing.

After portraits, we walked over to the San Diego Marriage Hut where they filled out their paperwork and had their ceremony, with their friend and family watching from a safe distance!
